Sriracha Hot Wings

Do you remember when Trader Joe’s “Everything But The Bagel” seasoning went viral a few years ago?— that’s what I feel is going to happen with this Kirkland Sriracha Seasoning powder; its like crack in a bottle— it tastes good on EVERYTHING… especially these wings! The flavor reminds me of a sriracha/ onion-garlic powder with a Lucas-like candy vibe, but savory…. does that make sense ? You just have to try it!

The flavors in this recipe are insanely delicious, and I bet you can’t have just one! The fish sauce and cornstarch create a light “slurry” that mimics a beer-battered texture giving the chicken a nice crunch coat and umami undertone.

Baking powder is a must that gives the chicken its signature crunch and the white pepper just ties it all together. If you try this, tag me ! I love seeing your foodie photos (:

What you’ll need:

Servings: 2

  • 2lbs chicken wings

  • 4 tsps sriracha sauce

  • 1 tsps fish sauce

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • sriracha seasoning powder

  • 1/3 cup greek yogurt/ mayonnaise

Instructions:

*Make sure wings are washed and pat dried

  1. Place all chicken wings in a mixing bowl and season with 2 tsps sriracha sauce, fish sauce, white pepper, salt, baking powder, and cornstarch— mix well.

  2. Airfry chicken wings at 400F for about 20 minutes and make sure to flip halfway though cooking time

*You can also bake wings in a preheated oven at 375F for about 45-60 minutes, also flipping halfway through cook time

  3. While chicken is cooking, prepare spicy yogurt dipping sauce- In a mixing bowl, combine greek yogurt and 2 tsps sriracha ( or more if you want it spicer). Season with a pinch of salt and mix well. Sprinkle sriracha seasoning powder on top for garnish.

  4. Transfer cooked wings to a tossing bowl and sprinkle a generous amount sriracha seasoning powder— Toss until sriracha seasoning powder is well dispersed.

  5. Transfer wings to a serving plate with dipping sauce on the side— enjoy!
