Adobo Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry

This recipe is inspired by one of my favorite filipino dishes— chicken adobo; just an easier and stir fry version. You get the same umami and tangy flavors that you would taste in a traditional adobo, but in just less time ! I love serving it over rice and adding sriracha hot sauce on top, yum ! If you try this, tag me; I love seeing your foodie photos !

What you’ll need:

Servings: 3

  • 3 large chicken breasts

  • 12 oz broccoli

  • 3 tsps soy sauce

  • 6 chopped garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp chicken bullion powder

  • 3 tsps honey

  • 2 tsps white vinegar

  • salt

  • black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Start off by cutting chicken breasts into cubes or slices. Transfer to a mixing bowl and season with soy sauce, chopped garlic cloves, chicken bullion, honey, white vinegar, salt and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Heat up a skillet pan on medium-high heat and add about a tsp of olive oil.

  3. Once pan is hot, add chicken in and do not disturb for about 1-2 minutes for chicken to get some color .—Continue stir frying until chicken is 75% cooked through.

  4. Add in broccoli and continue stir frying until chicken is completley cooked through and has an internal temperature of 165F and broccoli is slightly soft.

  5. Serve over a bed of rice or enjoy as is !
