Shakshuka Inspired Egg Dip
This is not a traditional recipe by any means, but it sure is delicious and easy to make I love making a big batch of this on Sunday mornings for breakfast for a fun shareable family meal. Its kind of like a version or tomato eggs or just a plain old marinara egg dip. Be sure to try this when you’re in need of a new breakfast idea!
Instructions:
Heat skillet pan to medium-low and add in 1 cup of your favorite marinara. (I love using Rao’s).
Lower heat to low and gently crack in 3 eggs careful to not break yolks.
Let simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the whites of the eggs are cooked to your liking. You want the yolks of the eggs sunny side up and runny.
Remove from heat and season with oregano, feta cheese, chili flakes, black pepper, and fresh basil. ( I just tore up the basil into small pieces with my hands).
Serve right away and enjoy with toasted sourdough.
