Lettuce Wrap Burrito

It’s a handheld salad! The crisp romaine holds the turkey, bacon, and avocado in like a hug. Its so refreshing and I love how EASY it is to prepare the same morning. Its 100% customizable to your own palette! I call it the lettuce wrap burrito :D

What you’ll need:

  • 8-10 leaves of romaine lettuce

  • 1 tsp mayonnaise or cream cheese

  • everything bagel seasoning

  • 4 slices deli turkey

  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese

  • 4 slices bacon

  • half of an avocado

  • 2-4 slices tomatoes

  • pickles (optional)

  • foil or parchment paper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare lettuce leaves by washing and drying

  2. Place parchment paper or foil in diamond shaping facing you

  3. Assemble lettuce leaves by placing spines towards middle and gently breaking spine by pushing down

  4. Place deli meat down first if not enjoying right away

  5. Followed by mayonnaise on top of deli meat (prevents lettuce from getting soggy)

  6. Sprinkle a little of everything bagel seasoning

  7. then continue adding the rest of fillings (cheese, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, etc)

  8. Gently start to roll and tuck, using lettuce in front to keep fillings in

  9. Once wrapped and tucked in like a burrito with foil, slice in half and peel back foil

  10. Enjoy right way! If not, keep in burrito form until ready to eat.
