Baked Eggs
Baked eggs are considered a fancy type of appetizer in my culture. It is usually made for special events, celebrations, and New Years! It’s like a scrambled, hard boiled, and marinated egg all in one ! Once your teeth sink into the egg and discover it’s addicting texture you won’t be able to stop! I love that you can customize the seasonings to your liking. Traditionally made on the grill, let me show you how to make them at home in your oven!
These eggs are one of a kind!
Instructions:
Start by poking small hole on top of egg and removing small piece of shell
Into a mixing bowl, turn egg upside down and use chopstick to help remove yolk and whites without breaking the shell
Repeat until all eggs are hollow
Season egg mixture and whisk until eggs are beaten through
Transfer egg mixture back into eggs carefully and put back into carton (this part is tedious)
-TIp: Use a small funnel to help fill eggshells
Repeat until all eggs are transferred back to shells
Preheat oven to 200 degrees farenheit
Place carton of eggs into oven and bake for about 2 hours
-Check if eggs are cooked by inserting chopstick though open top of egg
-If chopstick comes out clean, they are done
Let eggs cool before eating. Serve with sweet chili sauce or spicy mayo !
Enjoy !
