Grinder Sandwich

This sandwich is life changing. I first saw this recipe floating all over social media and decided to recreate it, but as a salami salad cup and it was AMAZING; Because is was so delicious, I knew I had to remake the epic original sandwich version. I am a believer. It is now one of my all time favorite sandwich recipes. I even enjoyed the leftover salad with some chips and it was still tasty ! The banana peppers and pickles amount is up to your desired liking. You need to try this one out!

What you’ll need:

  • Bread of choice (I used sourdough)

  • 1/3 head iceberg lettuce

  • banana peppers

  • pickles

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1 T mayonnaise

  • 1 T red wine vinegar

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • chili flakes

  • 1 tomato

  • provolone cheese

  • deli meats of choice (I used turkey, ham, and salami)

Instructions:

  1. Start off by preparing salad:

    -Cut iceberg lettuce into shreds and place into a mixing bowl.

    -Season with chopped banana peppers, chopped pickles, pressed garlic clove, mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes. Combine well and set aside.

  2. Clean tomatoes and cut into slices. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  3. Add cheese to bread and airfry bread slices at 350 for about 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  4. Remove from airfryer and assemble sandwich.

  5. Add deli meats, followed by spoonfuls of ginger salad, tomatoes on top, and add more mayonnaise and mustard if you’d like!

  6. Enjoy right away!
