Garlic Thyme Butter Asparagus
The most simplest, yet most delicious asparagus you’ll ever make…. and it takes less than 10 minutes! Love this as a side dish or an appetizer. The thyme really gives a nice refreshing pop of flavor. The garlic is GARLIC…. and those two fused into the butter… MIND BLOWING. I like to make a big batch of the garlic thyme butter and keep in the refrigerator, so whenever I need some, I just chip a piece off and melt on a pan to add some flavor to whatever i’m cooking!
Instructions:
Start off by prepping asparagus
-Rinse, pat dry, and snap off the hard ends on the bottom. (Should be about 1/2-1inch from bottom). Discard those hard ends.
Season asparagus with just salt and black pepper. Combine well. Set aside.
Remove thyme leaves from sprigs and set aside.
Press garlic cloves or finely mince and set aside.
To a medium-hot skillet, melt about 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add in pressed garlic cloves and thyme leaves. Sauté until fragrant, about 10 seconds. Lower heat to medium-low.
Throw in asparagus and toss until asparagus are tender, but still have a nice bite. About 3-5 minutes.
Transfer to serving dish and enjoy!
Garnish with a tiny bit of flakey salt if desired (optional)
