Chamango Smoothie

If you have been with me for awhile, you probably know mangos are my favorite fruit! This chamango uses chamoy which is a blend of tamarind and other spices to create such a sweet and salty experience! We love making these on hot summer days to cool off! I sometimes make them in bathes and store them in the freezer to enjoy later whenever i’m craving them. This is the perfect recipe for kids and adults; adults add tequila for a life changing experience! ENJOY.

What you’ll need:

Servings: 1-2

  • 2 large mangos

  • 2 cups ice

  • 1 lime

  • thick chamoy

  • thin chamoy

  • tajin

  • tequila (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Start of by cutting mango and removing skin. Chop into cube sizes. Set aside and save a little bit for garnish.

  2. To a food processor or blender, add mango chunks, lime juice, and ice. (add tequila here). Blend until smooth.

  3. To a serving cup, dip into thick chamoy, then into tan to create the rim.

  4. Using a thinner chammy, carefully drizzle in the inside of the cup.

  5. Add in mango mixture and garnish with more mango chunks and tan. Lime wedge if you’re fancy!

  6. Enjoy!
