Turkey and Cheese Pockets

My favorite hot pocket growing up was the ham and cheese one— there was just something so comforting about the melted gooey cheese and the salty bits of diced up ham— id thought id try to recreate it with some pre-made store bought biscuit dough and it came out amazing. I love making these in large batches for my kids because they freeze well and are easy to reheat ! If you try this, tag me ! I love seeing your foodie photos (:

What you’ll need:

Servings : 8 pockets

  • 1 can store bought biscuit dough

  • 8 slices cheese (I used Colby jack)

  • 4 slices of deli turkey meat (sliced and diced)

Instructions:

  1. Start off by popping open can of pre made store bought biscuit dough and start flattening out each piece with your hands as large as you can without ripping the dough— or you can use a roller.

  2. Take one flattened out biscuit dough at a time and add a slice of cheese and some diced up turkey on one side . Carefully take the other vacant side and fold over.

  3. Gently roll up the ends and make sure it is completley sealed or else there will be melted cheese spillage. Continue until all pockets are made.

  4. You can airfry the pockets at 330F for about 10-12 minutes or until dough is completley cooked through. Flip halfway through cook time.

*you can also bake at 350F for about 12-15 minutes .

  5. Let pockets cool for a few minutes for enjoying!

  • To freeze and reheat:

*Cook all pockets and let cool completley

*Wrap each pocket in plastic wrap individually

*Place wrapped pockets in a freezer safe bag

*To reheat— unwrap frozen pockets and wrap in a damp paper towel. Microwave for about 60 seconds. Let cool before enjoying.
