Tuna Rice Seaweed Balls

Is it me, or does everything taste better when its in ball form?! These tuna seaweed rice balls are so delicious and fun to eat! They are also perfect to bring to a potluck or shared as a quick and easy appetizer.

What yo0u’ll need:

Servings: 3

  • 1 7oz can of tuna

  • 1 sea weed snack package

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 4 tsps Japanese mayo

  • 2 tsps sriracha

  • 1 tsp ponzu sauce

  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • furikake

Instructions:

  1. Open tuna can and drain

  2. To mixing bowl, add drained tuna and cooked rice.

    -Season with Japanese mayo, sriracha, ponzu, and sesame oil. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Combine well.

  3. Using disposable gloves, grab about a heaping spoonful of tuna rice mixture and roll in hands forming a ball shape. Continue until there is no mixture left. Set aside.

  4. To a shallow dish, open package of seaweed snacks and crush with hands to create coarse small seaweed flakes.

  5. Grab one tuna rice ball at a time and roll into seaweed flakes, gently using hands to press seaweed onto tuna balls. Repeat until all balls are coated.

  6. Transfer seaweed tuna rice balls onto a serving plate and drizzle with more Japanese mayo and sriracha.

  7. Sprinkle furikake on top and enjoy!
