Gochujang Steak Lettuce Wraps

This recipe is one I make quite often— gochujang steak is sooo delicious and flavorful; its savory, sweet, and a little spicy! Wrapping the steak in lettuce wraps brings a nice crunch of freshness. Don’t forget to add kimchi!!!

What you’ll need:

Servings: 3

  • 2 lbs sliced steak

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsps oyster sauce

  • 2 tsp garlic powder or (fresh chopped garlic)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 2 tsps gochujang paste

  • salt

  • 12 oz sliced mushrooms

  • 1/2 sliced sweet onion

  • romaine lettuce

  • Kimchi

  • 3 sliced green onions

Instructions:

*Wash and dry protein and veggies

  1. Add sliced steak to a large mixing bowl and season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder, sesame oil, white pepper, gochujang paste, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Heat up a skillet pan on medium-high heat and add some olive oil. Once pan is heated through, add in sliced onions and stir fry until onions softned— about 3 minutes.

  3. Add in steak and continue stir frying until steak is cooked to your liking— about 5 minutes .

  4. Lower heat to medium-low and add in sliced mushrooms. Continue stir frying until mushrooms softned— about 2 minutes.

  5. Turn off heat and garnish with chopped green onions . Transfer cooked steak and vegetables to a serving dish .

  6. Assemble— set up romaine lettuce and add some steak and veggies to each one, followed by some kimchi, and ENJOY!

** You can also eat the gochujang steak over a bed of rice— YUM.
