Elevated Shrimp Salad

This elevated shrimp salad recipe is for my OG’s— IYKYK . This dish is the perfect amount of savory, sweet, spicy, and is super refreshing. I love eating this with some rice noodles, sticky rice or vermicelli! Trust me on this one fam— its freaking fire.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 lbs jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • thai chilis

  • 1 tsp monk fruit sweetener (or sugar)

  • 1/2 tsp shrimp paste

  • 1/2 tsp crab paste

  • 2 tsps fish sauce

  • 2 limes

Instructions:

  1. Start off by seasoning shrimp with salt and pepper.—Airfry at 400F for about 5 minutes. (You can also boil in hot water for about 3-5 minutes). Once shrimp is cooked through transfer to a plate and set aside.

  2. Prepare vinaigrette- To a mortar and pestle add in garlic cloves, thai chilis, and sweetener. Pound until garlic cloves and chilis turn into a paste.

*add as many thai chilis as you’d like. (My fam can’t handle a lot so I used only 2 chilis)

  3. Now add in shrimp paste, crab paste, and juice of one whole lime, and fish sauce into mortar and gently stir until shrimp and crab paste are completely dissolved. Taste and adjust seasonings to your taste.

  4. Assemble shrimp in a nice serving plate — followed by fresh chopped lime (remove skin off lime and chop into bite sized pieces.)

  5. Pour in fish sauce vinaigrette on top and enjoy!
