Cheesesteak Brussel Sprouts
The contrast between the crispy Brussel sprouts and cheesy ribeye steak is to die for . Who knew cheesesteaks and Brussel sprouts would go together like two peas in a pod?! This recipe is a MUST.
Instructions:
Start off by marinating thinly sliced rib eye steak - In a large mixing bowl, combine thinly sliced ribeye steak with garlic powder, chili flakes, dried oregano, salt and black pepper. Mix well and set to the side.
Prep brussels sprouts- Rinse and pat dry sprouts. Trim off ends and slice in half. Transfer to a separate mixing bowl and season with maple syrup, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set to the side.
Prepare onions and mushrooms-Slice onions into thin strips. -Wipe off dirt from sliced mushrooms with damp paper towel. Set aside.
Airfry brussels sprouts- Transfer brussels to airfryer and airfry at 375F for about 12 minutes. Toss sprouts halfway through cooking time to ensure all sprouts are crispy.
While sprouts are air frying, prep cheese steak.
Heat up a cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Add 1 tsp olive oil and stir fry sliced onions until translucent. Add mushrooms and quickly stir fry for about 1 minute.
Add in marinated ribeye steaks and continue stir frying until steak is cooked to your liking.
Once steak is cooked though, turn off heat and add layer of shredded cheese on top. Cover with lid for a few minutes until cheese is melted though.
Assemble dish. -On a large serving dish, add brussels sports down first, followed by the cheesesteak mixture on top.
Enjoy right away!
