5 Ingredient Garlic Butter Udon

What you’ll need:

Servings: 2

• 2 pack frozen udon noodles

• 12+ cloves garlic, finely chopped

• 3 tbsp butter

• 1-2 tbsp fish sauce

• 1/2- 1 tsp sweetener (honey or sugar)

• (Optional) Salt, to taste

• 1 cup fresh spinach

• Chili oil, for serving

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Udon

• Defrost the frozen udon noodles by soaking them in warm water for a short time until loosened. Drain and Set aside.

2. Sauté the Garlic

• Heat a pan over medium-low heat with some cooking oil.

• Add the chopped garlic and stir-fry until slightly golden and fragrant.

•Lower down the heat and melt the butter —stir to combine.

3. Add the Sauce

• Pour in the fish sauce and sweetener, stirring to combine. taste and adjust if needed.

• Let the mixture simmer for a few seconds until the aroma deepens.

4. Toss the Udon

• Add the drained udon noodles to the pan and toss until fully coated in the garlic butter sauce.

• Taste and add a pinch of salt if needed.

5. Finish & Serve

• Stir in the spinach and let it wilt slightly.

• Drizzle with chili oil and serve immediately.
