Bluefin Tuna Nuggets

I made these on a whim and they came out delicious ! You can substitute blue fin tuna for any other fish such as salmon, cod, or catfish ! The dipping sauce gives the flavors a nice zing of fresh. Tag me if you make this, its soooo bomb .

What you’ll need:

Servings: 2-3

  • 1 lb bluefin tuna

  • 2 tsp garlic salt

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp old bay

  • black pepper

  • chili powder

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cup cornmeal

  • olive oil or cooking oil spray

  • 1 cup greek yogurt

  • Louisiana style hot sauce

  • 1 lemon

Instructions:

  1. Prep tuna by removing skin and cutting into “nugget” shapes. Transfer to a mixing bowl and season with 1 tsp each of garlic salt, onion powder, and old bay. Add as much black pepper or chili powder as you’d like. Mix well .

  2. Assemble dredging stations;

    A.Crack eggs into a bowl and beat well.

    B. Add cornmeal to a shallow dish and season with the same seasonings as tuna. Mix well.

    C. Take one tuna nugget at a time and dip into egg mixture, and then into seasoned cornmeal. Continue until all tuna are coated.

  3. Spray cooking oil to bottom of airfryer before adding in tuna nuggets. Make sure to add tuna nuggets into one even single layer. Airfry at 370F for about 7-10 minutes.

  4. While nuggets are aifrying, prep dipping sauce.

    A. Combine greek yogurt, as much Louisiana style hot sauce as you’d like, salt, black pepper, and fresh lemon juice.

  5. Once nuggets are cooked through, transfer them to a serving plate with dipping sauce on the side.

  6. Enjoy !
