The Burger Taco

I am only on episode one of the “Will it Airfry” series and I am completely obsessed with this series already. The first easy meal idea is this burger taco and it did not dissappoint; I love how easily this satisfies the burger craving and I made it low carb by substituting with a store-bought low carb tortilla. Customize with your favorite ground protein and toppings! Loved the crunch—- If you make this, tag me! I love seeing your remake foodie creations (:

What you’ll need:

Servings: 4

  • 1lb ground turkey (or ground beef)

  • 1/4 cup pickle juice

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • tortillas of choice (I used low-carb)

  • shredded lettuce

  • sliced tomatoes

  • sliced pickles

  • ketchup

  • mustard

  • mayonnaise

  • sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Start off by transferring ground turkey into a mixing bowl and season with 1/8 cup pickle juice, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Using a flat spatula, spread a good amount of ground turkey to tortilla and cook:

*Airfry at 370F for about 7-10 minutes (meat-side up)
or until meat is cooked through and tortilla oredges are golden

OR *Panfry on medium heat in a skillet pan; meat-side down for about 5-7 minutes. Flip and brown other side once meat is cooked through.

  3. Make sauce by coming equal parts ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Add as much or as little pickle juice as desired. Mix in sesame seeds and combine well.

  4. Assemble; Add sauce on top of tortilla and meat, followed by shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced pickles, and extra sesame seeds. Fold in half, or create a “pocket”.

  5. ENJOY RIGHT AWAY ! YUMMMMM !
