Eggroll In A Bowl
All that egg roll flavor in less than 30 minutes. I love using ground turkey for that extra protein and to help keep me full. The flavor is jammed packed from the sautéed onions and garlic. The mild hint of heat from the gochujang paste is PERFECT. This is easily going to be a weeknight staple at your house.
Instructions:
Prep ground turkey
-Remove ground turkey from packaging and place in a mixing bowl.
-Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken bullion, honey, gochujang paste, and black pepper. Mix well and set to the side.
Prepare vegetables
-Clean, pat dry.
-If using storebought bag of shredded cabbage/ carrots, you can skip cabbage and carrots step.
-Slice cabbage into thin slices
-Julienne carrots
-Set aside
Rinse and pat dry green onions
-Cut into small pieces and set aside
Prepare onions and garlic
-Peel and chop onion into thin slices
-Finely mince garlic cloves
-Set aside
Heat up a large wok or skillet pan on medium high heat and add some olive oil
Once olive oil is heated up, add in sliced onions and chopped garlic . Quickly stir fry until fragrant or about 30 seconds.
Next, add in your seasoned ground turkey and stir fry until your meat is about 75-80% cooked through.
Lower your heat to medium and then add in your shredded cabbage and carrots. Continue stir frying until meat is completely cooked through and well combined .
Turn off heat. Then Taste and adjust ground turkey/cabbage mix with salt and extra black pepper IF NEEDED.
Drizzle with sesame oil
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds!
Enjoy as is, with some glass noodles or over a bed of rice!
