Chicken Marinara

When I need a quick 20 minute dinner for my family, I call for this. I honestly don’t know what the proper name is, so i’m just going to call it Chicken Marinara (don’t @ me lol). I love how quick, easy, and delicious this turns out. I always have marinara on hand, either it be jarred, or frozen, so its really easy to put together! I served mine up with a side salad, but this would be great over pasta or even on its own! Make sure you have a meat thermometer on hand because you definitely don’t want to over cook the chicken breast!

What you’ll need:

Servings: 2-4

  • 2-3 large chicken breasts

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp oregano

  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup marinara

  • fresh basil

  • fresh grated parmesan

Instructions:

  1. Start off by prepping chicken breasts

-Rinse, pat dry, and cut into desired shape. (I did chicken tenders).

  2. Transfer chicken into mixing bowl and season with olive oil, chili flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Combine well.

  3. Place chicken tenders into air fryer into single even layer. Airfry at 400 for about 10-12 minutes. Exact time will vary deepening on size of chicken. (Make sure internal temp reaches 165F before consuming.)

  4. Once chicken is cooked through, transfer to a serving dish and spoon about a heaping tablespoon of warm marinara on each chicken tender.

  5. Grate fresh parmesan and garnish with fresh sliced basil.

  6. Enjoy right away over a salad, with some pasta, or with some fresh veggies !
